About the Role:
Looking for a sharp and detail-driven Comptroller to join our team in New York, NY. This is a key leadership role where you'll oversee the financial health of a dynamic construction and building company. Responsibilities:
- Oversee all accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and industry-specific financial standards
- Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors, banks, and financial institutions
- Monitor job costing, project budgets, and construction financial reporting
- Implement and maintain internal controls and financial policies
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting or financial management experience
- Construction accounting experience required
- Experience in construction, real estate, or contracting industry strongly preferred
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Procore, or similar platforms)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, job costing, and project-based accounting
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate financial data clearly to leadership and stakeholders

Compensation: $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
